Portrait Service (U.S. $395.00)
Second Skin Labs offers photo likeness' of 1st life looks on the SL avatar through custom texturing and custom shape matching on the head of a male or female avatar. The service does not include reference photo shoots, enhancements to existing reference photos, or custom shape and skin modifications to any areas of the avatar below the neck. See our sections on portrait and minimum image requirements for details. Final product is delivered as a skin, shape, hair, and high resolution master file. Prices are quoted on an individual basis for work beyond this scope.
Portrait Requirements
Anyone who agrees with our TOS, has access to a quality digital camera, and is willing and able to submit their avatar shape with photo reference of themself may use this service. One FULL RESOLUTION sample head shot (5 mb or less JPEG) must be submitted to namssor@secondskinlabs.com and approved before a service contract is written up. Once approved, all images (about 50 mb in JPEG files) should be Zipped and sent using a free large file sharing service like Megaupload, or placed on a temporary URL/FTP site. Our portrait service is available on a limited basis due to time requirements for custom work. Should demand exceed supply, customers may add their names to a waiting list when sending in preliminary samples.
